Tailored Support for Every Stage of Motherhood

The Difference Between Coaching and Clinical Care

Coaching provides a supportive and empowering environment to help you navigate the emotional landscape of motherhood, while clinical care is designed to diagnose and treat health conditions.

  • Coaching: Focuses on setting goals, building coping strategies, and empowering you to reclaim your emotional well-being in the postpartum period.

  • Clinical Care: Involves diagnosis and treatments and can include medical testing and medications

If, during our coaching sessions, we determine that clinical care is needed, I will refer you to an appropriate medical or mental health provider. It's also possible to work with me as a coach alongside a clinical provider, coaching is complimentary to medical care, not a replacement of it. Though I am a trained clinical practitioner, I do not offer clinical services. After years of clinical practice, I found coaching allows for a deeper focus on emotional, mental, and societal challenges—areas the traditional medical model isn’t designed to fully address.

As a certified nurse midwife, women’s health nurse practitioner, and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I’ve spent over 12 years supporting mothers. I understand the unique challenges new mothers face and am here to guide you with compassion and care. While clinical care addresses physical health, it often overlooks the emotional, mental, and societal challenges that mothers face daily. That’s why I offer coaching—because mothers need more than just medical care; they need personalized, ongoing support to navigate the complexities of motherhood. Coaching fills the gap by offering guidance, practical tools, and a safe space for mothers to be seen, heard, empowered, and understood. It’s an essential, missing piece in maternal wellness, providing the kind of holistic care that every mother deserves throughout her entire journey.
