  • At this time, Sunrise Mental Health and Midwifery is a one-woman operation. Our priority is to provide you with the highest quality care. Unfortunately, health insurance companies make providing high quality care incredibly difficult, for many reasons. Health insurance companies put profit over people. They want providers to see as many patients as possible, so they can make as much money as possible. They dictate how much time providers can spend with patients as well as determine what treatments providers can/can’t provide to patients. If you have ever left an insurance-based providers feeling like your visit was rushed, your concerns weren’t heard. and your questions weren’t answered, its largely because of the insurance model of care. Sunrise Mental Health and Midwifery strongly disagrees with the model of care.

Accepting insurance also requires waiting for payment reimbursement, chasing down past due accounts, denial of payment from insurance companies, and many other hoops to jump through. That is a full-time job in and of itself, which is why medical offices have entire billing departments dedicated to jumping through those hoops. Sunrise Mental Health and Midwifery aims to keep things simple. Quality over quantity is our mantra.
